1950's silk satin high low dress
The most divine example of 1950's chic is this silk satin gown trimmed in guipure lace.
A fitted bodice nipped in at the waist and trimmed in lace motifs is complemented by long sleeves that finish elegantly at a point on the hand. The buttons on the cuff are frosted glass baubles.
A dramatic pleated skirt that sits higher at the front and sweeps down at the back is fully lined and appears almost bustle like at the back. A wide lace border and guipure lace trim finish off this stunning one of a kind dress.
This dress has been brought back to a wearable condition but there is one mark on the back skirt on the left hand side and several scuffs also on the train. Some very small stitching marks near the dart on the back bodice. Happy to send any close up photos.
