Vintage Tea Dyed Lace Dress

An experiment by a bridal boutique decades ago resulted in this gorgeous tonal tea dyed lace.

Originally this was a softly fitted cocktail dress with a peplum lace frill and straight taffeta skirt. The front and back lace pieces have not been changed but the 3/4 length wide sleeve shape has been replaced with a cute fitted upper sleeve and stunning full gathered lower piece. A boned princess styled bodice and a-line skirt has been cut from the lining of a repurposed wedding dress. Finally a full gathered soft tulle skirt has been added, this is cut from new fabric.
