Silk satin gown with scalloped train

A beautiful off white silk satin gown with the most amazing scallop shape train.

This dress has been thoughtfully restored so it can be worn again and the metres of silk used to create this don't get wasted.

Fully lined with bias trimmed scoop neckline and cuffs, a new zip has been added on one side with a button loop on the other, miniature vintage glass buttons have been used for the sweetest feature. The bodice is fitted, as are the long sleeves. A straight ankle length skirt at the front contrasts with a huge train at the back that is pleated at the waist and trimmed with a soft bow.

While this dress has been extensively cleaned, and a sleeve has been replaced there remains some evidence of a previous life (and maybe a good party). There is a small amount of scuffing at the hemline on the front, one pull by the left-hand shoulder, small needle marks showing a previous dart at the waist on the front and an area on the train that is approx knee height on the left hand side that is scuffed and pulled. IMO this dress is still very wearable and I don't think these are very obvious, happy to send photos.
