Union made lace gown

This stunning gown was made by workers protected by a union.

The square neckline bodice features rows of lace previously gathered that have been layered to create this new look. The bishop sleeves are made in organza which is sheer enough to glimpse lace motifs from the fitted tulle lining underneath. Covered buttons down the back and at the cuffs have been replaced with new ones. The full skirt flows from the waist and features angled lace inserts at the hemline. This dress is very long but could easily be shorthened.

Condition is very good, no obvious marks, this vintage gown from 1981 has been thoughtfully restored and awaits it's new bride.
